Pardon My Anticipation Poem by Jamarra Butterfield

Pardon My Anticipation

I'm meaningless without you.
I need you here, beside me to comfort me.
Your arms that hold me, I feel at ease in them.
My world is halcyon when I'm with you.
I see the future in your eyes, our future.
Your aroma grabs me and traps me,
I want this moment to last forever.
Amicable, you're enchanting and that moves me.
I slumber in your eyes of combined hazel fairy dust.
If there was a place I could live forever,
It would be in your memories.
Let's grow old together, share life together.
Sit on the veranda, listening to the song of our first dance.
That first dance we'll have? You'll sweep me away.
I drown in your love; your heart's my life vest.
Your love saved me from my brokenness.
The tip of your fingers sliding down my neck,
Bring tears to my eyes due to exhilaration.
You kiss my cheek and something inside of me melted.
I see no others before you, when I'm with you.
I forget what sorrow feels like at the sound of your voice.
I need you here…
Beside me……
To comfort me…..
I'm meaningless…without…YOU!
