Rating: 5.0

High canopy, African tulip abloom
peering surprised, boisterous emerald parrot
swinging bed, crimson saucer flower

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We have an African Tulip Tree bravely growing from a small patch of cemented 'bund' outside our highrise in Mumbai... I luv this tree with its crimson red saucer sized cluster of flowers.. always hosting a variety of birds.. robins, mynas, doves, crows, sparrows, small lover birds and lately a flock of Parrots or Parakeets.. actually they are quite large don't know from where they came to the skies of Mumbai.. but luv these small surprises when we sight them so nearby just a few meters away from my window.
