Is the purpose a circus serves.
Part Christmas.
Thanksgiving and Halloween.
With a focus kept centered,
On distractions the ringmaster...
Promises to deliver and magically brings.
More dramatic than the last to have seen.
As clowns run about.
In and out of cars.
Like sardines packed into limousines.
And the laughter of children,
Leaving quite surprised...
By the balloons they were given.
With treats to eat, gifts to get.
Faces painted and parents thrilled.
Until the bill arrives.
Yet left satisfied that they too,
Had been entertained.
