Passing Year Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Passing Year

It was troublesome boring
How many friends did I make with adoration?
Many countered me with their sharp intelligence
It was real chance to make up

Many showed up without invitation
I too was ready for relation
Not with bad intention
But for its retention

I walked an extra mile
To file
My acknowledgement
And present in a cordial manner

Someone tried to overawe me
Some tried to free
From their list
I have no much twist

Friends are not masters
But they do offer
Solace in distress
So I give full access

Nothing matters in friendship
As it carries much more in ship
It is useful journey
As always blessed by an almighty
