Passion Poem by Barry Middleton

Passion

she came from a dream
out from the fog
white like an apparition
of desire

there was never music
till her deep breathing
stirred percussion
from the sky

there was sweetness
in her swelling kiss
like honey and the sea
in waves

scent of hair and musk
in lavender disguise
like no imagined
orchid's bloom

her touch was heat itself
adoration awakened
as my heart brimmed
with fire
