Passion Poem by keith brown

Passion

Passion

Why don't you? Just hold me the way I know that you could
When I've forgotten to tell you all the things that I should.

Our passions an ember where there used to be flame
With the dying of passion, is our love still the same?
Tell me you love me
Tell me your mine
That the passing of passion's not just a moment of time.

We talk but don't listen, we don't say what we mean
Is there no understanding, is our love but a dream?

Passions a flower to be nurtured and grown, a companion to love
it can't stand on its own,
It's part of a circle,
formed by friendship and love
When you gave me your trust, I gave you my love.

Tell me you love me, you'll always be mine, that the passing
of passions not just a matter of time.

Breath on the embers, rekindle the flame, say all is forgiven.
No ones to blame, breath on the embers,
like a soft summer sigh,
with the passing
of passion we won't kiss love goodbye
