Past Is Forgotten Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Past Is Forgotten

Rating: 5.0

'Do you remember that feared gentleman'?
My friend rushed early in the morning with bad Oman
Faces with horrific feelings and great concern
'What is wrong but? 'Now it was my turn

Do you remember that dreaded person? He spoke with one voice
Whose presence was felt formidable with reasons?
Yes, yes, but what has it to do with your worry and fear?
'He is no more now and city may have calm and peace now dear'

I could now understand about his anxiety
The dead person was known for his notoriety
In his young days he had spread terror
Earned bad repute and there was no word in his dictionary like honor

For creation of any disturbance you can take his help
For any unlawful activities you can count on him and bet
Yet he was kind at heart and helped poor and destitute
He had kindness to his heart and always tried to contribute

Later on he turned out to be social reformer and worked for causes
As if he wanted to repent for old deeds and misses
It was his endeavor now to help any one who approached
Looked toward him for solution and searched

He opened his valet for the services of people
He may willingly help any one who faced financial trouble
He was now God's man and came to be known as famous entity
It was his sheer true willingness and clear ability

Such person had departed but my friend had old fears
His family had suffered in early days and had brunt to bear
I calmed him down and apprised him of latest development
There was little move on his face even after my arguments

I believed in present and gave less credence to past
Even though the bad impression may not soon last
It is still appreciated if person comes to terms of his own
Rest of the activities may remain in memory even if past is forgotten
