Past, Present & Future - Poem by Simran Kshirsagar

A vision of past, present
& future,
Appeared to accelerate,
Deeply in my muses,
Redundant memories of past,
Silently flooded my spirit,
But I let this past,
Drift away into abyss,
For it held no relevance,
To the approaching era,
Present times brought,
Positive & cheerful vibrations,
Of luminous joy & wonder,
And this conferred an epoch,
Of new & vibrant beginnings,
And a clear glimpse of future,
Became visible o'er the horizon,
An oscillating happiness,
In form of effulgent tomorrows,
Propelled forwards with force,
Where life's real purpose,
Materialized into realities,
For these past & current,
And the anticipating phases,
Edify to expect the unknown,
Sometimes also endure the yore,
As I watched this life
marvellously roll by,
The performances of past,
The actuality of present,
Determined the upcoming future,
And made these known & unseen
visions,
At times an idealistic but
rational way of life.

Live in the present that is the demand of today; don’t let the past overcome the present. Your poem is interesting and at the same time gives a message. (Report) Reply
