Paths I Walk Poem by Ben mcelfresh

In this life
Lay many paths
Shall i follow my heart?
Shall i listen to my friends?

My decision mine to make
But i sit at the crossroads
I wonder which path is best
On which path shall i make a full journey

I have taken each path once before
I have encountered doubt
Doubt that sent me back to the beginning
Doubts about the decision i had made

I now see an unforeseen path
It's a path that combines
Both my heart and my friends
It risks everything at once

Now there is no decision
There is no question to which path is best
There are no doubts about my choice
I'll live my life as it comes, but i'll keep that hope alive

Now if things go wrong then no time was wasted
If things return to normal no feelings were lost
If you move on then i know to let go
But no matter the outcome just remember
I will love you until the end of time.
