Patience Poem by Mark Heathcote

Patience

I know it's never easy
Walking on broken eggshells
And no one likes a phony
Someone trying who repels ….

Wouldn't it be much better if?
We were all more thoughtful?
And had fewer plaintiffs
I am not saying I'm an angel.

And equally I'm not saying
I lack moral substance
I'm neither; all I'm saying
Shouldn't we act with more patience?
