Patience And Gratitude: A Sacred Embrace Poem by Mohammad Younus

Patience And Gratitude: A Sacred Embrace

O soul, when the winds of trial howl,
when the earth beneath you trembles and groans,
stand firm, like the ancient chinar—
its roots deep in the wisdom of ages.
Bend with the storm, but do not break,
for even the fiercest gales are but fleeting whispers
in the eternal breath of the Divine.

Patience is the cloak of the faithful,
woven with threads of trust and surrender.
It is the balm that soothes the wounded heart,
the quiet voice that murmurs through the tempest:
*This too shall pass, for nothing lasts forever.*
The night, no matter how dark,
has never silenced the dawn.
Patience is the art of waiting with purpose,
of knowing that every trial is a seed
planted in the soil of your becoming.

Gratitude is the song of the awakened soul,
a melody that rises above the cacophony of despair.
It is the fragrance that blooms in the aftermath of the storm,
the hands that sift through the rubble of sorrow
to gather shards of light.
Gratitude transforms pain into poetry,
weaving golden threads of peace
from the fabric of loss and longing.
It is the recognition that even in the barren desert,
there is a hidden spring,
and in the deepest winter,
the promise of spring lies dormant.

O seeker, drink deeply from these twin wells—
one to endure, one to embrace.
Patience is the anchor that steadies your ship,
while gratitude is the compass that guides you home.
Together, they form a sacred embrace,
a dance of resilience and grace.

For in their union lies the key to Heaven's gates—
not as a distant reward,
but as the very essence of the present moment.
Heaven is not a place beyond the clouds,
but a state of being,
a heart that beats in rhythm with the Divine.

So, when the world feels heavy,
and the path ahead is shrouded in shadow,
remember:
Patience will carry you through the night,
and gratitude will lead you to the light.
In their sacred embrace,
you will find the strength to rise,
the courage to love,
and the wisdom to see
that every step,
every stumble,
every tear,
is a sacred part of the journey.

O soul, you are not lost—
you are being forged in the fire of transformation.
And when the time is ripe,
you will emerge,
not as you were,
but as you were always meant to be:
a radiant reflection of the Divine,
a testament to the power of patience,
and a living hymn of gratitude.
