Paulo Coelho's Alchemy Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Paulo Coelho's Alchemy

Paulo Coelho's mind and heart is
A distant dweller,
A gipsy, a vagabond,
A romantic's heart
Instead of being a Catholic
And Catholicism,
Seen under the prism
Of though and idea,
Imagery and reflection,
Humanity and liberalism,
Fancy and flight of imagination.

What the popes can't
He has that,
Feeling the crisis within,
Wanting to add
What it is in Tolstoy,
Mixing the didactic with the romantic,
The romantic with the classical,
A writer Brazilian,
Portuguese
Whose Catholicism
Not regression and discipline
But romantic-Catholicism.
