Peace Poem by Paul Adolphus

Peace

I wish the world were a better place
where the atrocities of war
would be a thing of the past
if there were no discrimination
against color, religion or race
then perhaps peace could come at last

If only we could co-exist with one another
without harboring any hatred or strife
lend a hand to help a falling brother
where a man can walk the street
without fearing for his life

Imagine how beautiful it would be
If every nation would unite
that would be so lovely to see
Put their differences aside and stop their fight

Too much suffering is plaguing all mankind
If only we could love more and hate a lot less
Destruction and chaos is leaving nothing behind
The world find itself in one big mess.

Everybody has a role to play
Each individual must do their part
If we wish to make tomorrow a better day
Then now is the best time to start.

Really like this. I know what your saying. One day we may get peace, we'll have to wait and see. Take a look at my poem called, what the world would say if it could talk.
