Peace Hunted: Threatened With Extinction Poem by Terence George Craddock

Peace Hunted: Threatened With Extinction

Rating: 5.0

peace one of the most sacred
most revered states of mind
humanity a person can aspire to

aspired to by beautiful enlightened souls;

peace a God given blessing of prosperity
happiness health given to multiple cultures
societies countries to enjoy live love life in

peace a glorious treasure most valued when lost;

Power white horse rider rides with a world crown
stealth creeps secretly gains speech conquerors world
puppet strings pulls dances corporations governments

power covets performs miracles bent on conquest;

War a red horse rider steals peace blood curse leaking
war rivers of blood death victims slain with a great
sword as peace is slain in vast horror bloodshed wars

Famine a black horse rider rides carrying a pair of scales leaving
famine death skeletal hunger starvation devastation spreading
weighs out tiny portions of wheat barley a starvation wage working

Death a pale ashen grey horse rider rides a quarter of earth rider killing
death sword famine pestilence curse imposed by ruthless cruel death
visits nations empires feeds on ripe invasion desired lands harvests lives;
