Peacock Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Peacock

Peacock

A zoo bird ran away
People searched, media
Filled the air and papers
Time passed and like always
Mankind talked…all nonsense.

The peacock has returned.

“This cage is far better.”
Said to those old friends
“To the cage of outside.”

She meant ours, yours and mine.
Too busy, we don’t see, are blind.
