Pearls Of Our Love Poem by Leila Kay

Pearls Of Our Love

Rating: 5.0

My eyelids lingered in the throes of sleep
Your warm breath fanned my hair
A finger traced my lips
My heart fluttered like a butterfly

I was captured by a dream
I saw you only with the eyes of my heart
I was blind to all the world could see

That night there were no words
Only aspirations
We were like ice on fire
Endless and everlasting

There was that night
A silence which said more than words
Piercing my soul

Shattering the deafening silence
I whispered
Love pray dont leave me
Tear not apart my tender heart

That night i cried tears and gifted them to the rain
For you see it left never a trail behind
To you they were just water
To me they were pearls of our love
