Peek-A-Boo Poem by Ima Ryma

Peek-A-Boo

Now that I'm stuck on graveyard shift
I try to keep from getting bored.
Oft in the night I need a lift,
So I dig out from where I'm stored,
And strut about in time and place.
These old bones still get me around,
Now retired from the human race,
And home now just a plot of ground.
Walking, I watch for anyone
Like kids or drunks or both who be
Good prospects for this skeleton
To scare to hell when they see me.

There's nothing more fun than to do,
With a passerby, peek-a-boo.
