Penmanship Poem by Ima Ryma

Penmanship

Good penmanship did used to be
A talent one could brag about,
Before modern technology
Made keying in, handwriting out.
When writing letters was the main
Way to communicate afar,
Legibility to maintain
Was a required in repertoire,
If one wanted be understood
By the recipient, if not,
Illegibility was good,
And handwriter would use a lot.

Of course many wrote fancy well,
But understanding was still hell.
