If there is a "Penny" shortage, how can we say, "A penny for your thoughts" if there is no penny?
I love pennies. Walking supplements your income. Do you know how many pennies I find that has been walked over and overlooked, because nobody wants to pick up a penny?
Some people are like, "Girl, it's just a penny, who cares? Let me let you in on a lil secret, I care.
Girl, I will push you down to pick that penny up.
People ask God to bless them abundantly and financially, yet when they see a penny (which is a financial blessing) , they walk over it. God is saying, why should I bless you with bigger blessings, when you don't even appreciate the little blessings. Me, I appreciate ALL my blessings, big and small. Thank You Father.
Alright yall, back to the topic at hand. So it's been said, there's a penny shortage and "they" are not making pennies anymore.
Ok cool, that's all fine and dandy, but I'm here to just let you know, there may be a "penny" shortage, but I ain't taking no shortage.
Now if I go to a place of business and purchase something with my hard, earned money, I want every nickel, dime and penny that is owed to me.
If my bill is $37.43 and I give you $40.00, I want my 2 dollars and 57 cents, not $2.55. You will not be talking about rounding off and keeping my.02¢. If anything, you better charge me $37.40 and you take the.03¢ loss, cause I wants all my coins! I'm not in the business of helping a business stay in business by prospering off of something this government has chosen to do.
So since "they" decided to stop making pennies, get yo money from them.
I don't know what you gotta do, but if you in business and you losing.02¢ here, .03¢ here, .04¢ there, do the calculation, do the math, do a tax write off, or whatever you gotta do and apply all your losses on your tax form at the end of the year. But Girl, get yo money, don't let them make you lose out. That could have been an extra $6,000 you could have had at the end of the year.
Now, just so we are clear, let me reiterate. I ain't got nothing to do with no penny shortage and I ain't taking no shortage and you shouldn't either.
Now the next time you see a penny, what are you going to do?
All I'm saying is, you better learn to appreciate yo blessings.
I said what I said, now carry on and enjoy your day.
