Owl Poem by Colette Dright

Owl

Rating: 5.0

Today I saw an owl
Or did he see me?
For I looked outside the window
And saw him sitting in a tree

He was so beautiful and in my mind, truly amazing
For I stood there looking, wondering and gazing

I called out quickly for the children to come see
For they too were amazed, by the owl in the tree

He didn't move or blink, he just sat there and stared
As he enjoyed the daytime breeze that was blowing in the air

He stood there for a long while, just sitting in the tree
As I kept looking to see what his next move would be

I thought that owls only came out at night
But he was out mighty early as the sun shone bright
