People And Clouds

people walk away.

clouds at least might stay

if it weren't for the wind

or the fact they must dissolve

into snow or rain

into remnants of themselves

though often we have seen them massed

like billows on a sea of dreams

above pedestrian horizons.

people walk away. or else they fade

having something better to do that day

or only their nothing at all.

but clouds would stay

if not for the squalls

if not for the whisper of a breeze

in the rose scented air

take comfort then

in these. and don't despair

my clouds of language.
