People Want Freedom Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Life,
People want freedom;
Like the way rivers flow into the sea,
No matter what comes along the way.

Nature,
Everyone wants to be free;
Freedom!
To set us free like the air we breath;
But, the ways of mankind today had taken away the liberty of life,
And, the golden gate of peac eis now being destroyed with the bullets of war.

Freedom! ! !
Independence;
But, how many of us are free today?
Even though, mankind was made by the Creator and placed on earth.

Freedom!
We are still struggling to gain an identity of peace, love and joy;
Than, the darkness of war.

Freedom! !
Freedom for all;
But, is mankind really ready for freedom?
As we see few people enjoying the national cake of the earth,
With many going hungry.

People want freedom!
For peace, joy and love;
But, the sadness of it all now lies in the wickedness of mankind.
