Perfect Balance - Poem by Gordon Jerome

I've often wondered as I create a poem
Through whose thoughts might it roam
Will it touch them and in what way
Will it help them through their day
Might it release feelings hidden within
Might it help the healing finally begin
Could it lighten their endless strife
Could it add meaning into their life
Such simple words that touch so deep
Such simple words to help one weep
Or create sunshine from bitter rain
Or help yet another deal with pain
Of these things I have often thought
Of a perfect balance I've often sought.
'closing thought'
A life is a balance between all things good and bad
May you enjoy the happy more than endure the sad
