Perfect Harmony Poem by james watkin

Perfect Harmony

1/

Spirit kisses spirit, impassioned
Up into the Higher Feeling
While all that's seen, transfigured of Love
Stands up out earth, congealing.

Angel inflames angel, enveloped
In God's own burning element
While what's veiled, love-possessed, quivers down
One fleshy length's engrossment.

2/

Your being has a note, trembles into mine.
Out of what joyousness was it
First into existence sung! That, on high
Heavenly, in each, to merit.

Your being has a note, trembles into mine.
Our part on the universe-wide
Scale, sweetest harmonized. Do we souls
Through more than time and space collide!
