Perhaps Poem by Isabelle Parkes

Perhaps

Perhaps I could tell you all the secrets in the world,
But then they wouldn’t be secrets,
And your ears deserve nothing less
Than to hear the whisper of excitement,
And your body deserves nothing less
Than to feel the adrenaline of a broken rule,
And your eyes should comprehend the truth,
Your heart should beat a little faster,
As your mind discovers you are special enough
To know the information,
And your soul discovers someone cares enough
To share it with you.
