Pessimist Jar Poem by Ima Ryma

Pessimist Jar

Rating: 3.0

My wife calls me a pessimist.
I said I did not believe that.
To prove to me, she did insist,
That while in our habitat,
Instead of a swear jar, I keep
A jar for negativity
To use unless I am asleep.
Each negative thought that does be
In my head, I need to place in
The jar a dollar for such thought.
This experiment did begin,
I told my wife it was for naught.

Just done it a minute so far,
But still half empty is the jar!
