Philippe And Chariton Poem by Ash Price

Philippe And Chariton

The god Philippe grabbed the strong holds with a grace unmatched by any mere mortal. It was, however, his final breath of life, for darkness had overtaken the mountain. The Titans had been released, and all had been lost for the gods. The titans were made as god-killers, and that is the purpose they had served until Philippe finally made the disturbing decision. The handles laden with gold and pearl moved imperiously with submission, and with a final gasp of life Philippe pulled them towards his chest. The mountain rumbled and caved against the pulleys that were the final pillar which upheld the foundation. Philippe had fallen to the floor on his back, and was serene with a meditative gaze on his face. His beautiful blue eyes illuminated what was his final act of kindness to the children of God, to protect the world from which would destroyeth the hearts of Earth. He closed his eyes and fell asleep as the rocks crashed down upon the titans below, who were eating Chariton while he was still beating with life. Chariton mumbled a prayer for the protection of the surrounding city beside the mountain, and He finally received him. With a loud crash, the mountain collapsed.
