Photograph Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Photograph

Rating: 5.0

Mind marks smartly the date
Be it the feel of love or hate
Soulful tears show up to purge
Reward renewed for all that surge

Bygone days recorded in mind
As a pool of pleasant past signs
You shall later think it unwise
Quantum of solace not duly size

Priced memory shimmered in a new destination
Camera and light glimmered with sophistication
A smile, a pose, a flash, a click away
Is a photograph wrapped in a bouquet

Love a photograph to be a boundary
Between the bold fantasy and a hazy reality
Time and again we sneak into unreal hold
To relive the life arrayed in an album’s fold
