Pilgrims Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Pilgrims

Rapt in wonder, I salute the entire skies and the deeps
Profoundly dazzled at the beauty awesome
Let me dance around with bliss in the fellowship of kindreds
Quite keen not to slip into folly's abyss
And get buried in graceless graves
Always aware I'm walking along death's valleys gruesome
Yet all the while focusing my gaze at holy hills
Where my fellowmen and I be exalted pilgrims
And be forgiven our daring to soar up heights
