Pink Bruises Poem by Satish Verma

Pink Bruises

When you lit
the candle. I become stranger
to me. Time stops.

In short sojourn
the mystery deepens. Sometime
I don't understand you.

A private message
comes and goes. A wall rises
between truth and lies.

I want you, but
cannot touch the sea salt.
A ghost walks with us.

Blue marks appear.
Did you try to squeeze my arm?
Memories hurt like arrows.
