Pink Lotus And The Dragonfly © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Pink Lotus And The Dragonfly ©

Pink lotus peeped into the pond,
and smiled back at her glowing face;
She was well known far beyond
for her rosy fragrant grace...

Then Dragonfly came winging by,
to see what he had heard about;
He fluttered when he caught her eye
longing to taste her petal pout...

She tossed her pretty head and smiled.
He circled her for hours on end.
Humming tunes both sweet and wild
then slowly started to descend...

to gently touch her with wing-tips
and soundly kiss her petal-lips!
