Pity For A Lady Poem by Kyle Shield Laster

Pity For A Lady

Such and such has everything-
And I can't seem to care.
Without that pretty outer shell-
None of it would be there.

Inside of you, I see, though broken-
An aching, old invention:
Both gray and rotten- so long forgotten.
I'll give you no attention.
