Placido Remembers

PLACIDO REMEMBERS

Placido Domingo says that he remembers what
he did not sing correctly. That’s the explanation why
he finds it hard to listen to his old recordings, not
impressed by what he sang correctly. Errors do not lie!

In the LA Times, January 29,2010, David Ng reports that Placido Domingo, receiving the President’s Merit Award from the Recording Academy at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, said that he finds it hard to listen to old recordings. “It doesn’t matter ifit won a Grammy—you remember exactly what you didn’t do right.”
