Plastic Thoughtlessness

Right-thoughtless were umbrella bearers
round 1853,
as thoughtless of a Right Whale's mouth and death
as had been farthingale wearers
in the early 18th C.

By mid-20 C,
oil cheaper elsewhere,
general need for whales less drastic
(let alone supply) ,
thoughtlessness prefixed plastic-.
