Plastic Wrap Poem by Ima Ryma

Plastic Wrap

It was a world to be checked out.
Maybe life would be living there.
So the probe orbited about,
Checking the land, water and air.
Apparently, life once had thrived,
Ruins from some high intellect.
But all was gone, none had survived.
But why? The probe sought to detect.
A substance seemed to be the why.
The stuff was in every place,
And slowly caused all life to die.
The probe returned to outer space.

The probe findings were quite tragic.
The world was covered in plastic.
