Play My Country Song Backwards Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Play My Country Song Backwards

Don't play my country song, don't let me
You have left and now I pray
You took away my life adventures
My happiness has gone away

There are times I can remember
Then I think this is my song
Country kind of funny
As my friends all sing along

So don't play my life so empty
Give me back my happy days where we begin
Play my country song backwards
So I can love you once again

I have this awful feeling
It is like a rock that holds me down
I may smile when I see you
Then they play my song, so loud

Won't you play my country song turned over
Can it be that I'm a circus clown
The world laughs as if my life is funny
I have become the biggest joke around

Dream on lover
Forever is one kiss
If love were the magic
You would be my only wish

I can't stop thinking how you left me
Dear John, is the letter that was found
I could cry for you my, Ever
My broken heart, is the newest country sound
