Playing In The Rain Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Playing In The Rain

I'm just playing in the rain
Getting real wet
Playing with my doggie
He is my only real friend

People think I'm kind of silly
A grown man playing in the rain
Some shake their head with doubtful pity
But it's all a grown up game

Rain washes all ill feeling
Be a child with your friend
Life is living to be real
Sharing joys with no regrets

So I'm dancing in the rain
Splashing all my cares away
Two friends howling at the wind
And I'm laughing for the day

We are two spirits having fun
Enjoying what we have to gain
Loving every moment
Playing in the rain
