Please Forgive Me Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Please Forgive Me

I stand here,
a shadow shaped by choices,
my hands trembeling
with the weight of my own regrets.

The air is heavy between us,
an unspoken storm of words
that never had the courage to rise.

Your eyes, once a sanctuary,
are now mirrors
reflecting the shards of what I've broken.

I don't ask for time to rewind
or for scars to fade overnight.
I ask only for a chance to stand still with you,
to let silence hold what words cannot.

If I could,
I would gather every hurt
I have scattered across your days,
fold them into my chest,
and carry them away.

But I am here,
and I am human,
and all I have is this-
a quiet plea
for a path back to grace.
