When you sing sad lyrics
It is true ~ you often cry
Knowing they were written
By a love that walked on by.
The audience see you crying
The song is sad and blue
And as they listen to you sing
They are crying too.
But some people search for sad songs
And to the words they cling.
This is why they'll rush to buy
