Pleasure Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Pleasure

Rating: 5.0

Frustration
Keeps it up
With
Apprehension
Of devilish
Disease
And death
A universal
Phenomenon
Needn’t be
Overexcited
Be it sure
Death
As definite
As birth.

All-pervading
All-powerful
Omniscient
Three-in-one
‘Brhama-Vishanu
And Mahesh’
The Supreme
Thou’st ‘OM’
O’ me Lord
“SHIVA” at all
You may call
Way you like
Philosopher
Guide
Or guardian
Of the design
Mysterious
Quant
And curious
Clandestine
Thy ways are.

Whilst
Thou’st rule
In welfare
Of Thy creation
Thy insolence
Or unkindness
Affront
Them not
The king or
The subject
All equal
In gratitude
How pleasant!
Substantiating
Their devotion
Truly
Gay and happy
On this earth
As set by Thee
Feeling
Contented
And blessed
Besides being
Poles apart
In their ways
And means.

How blissful!
When the Sun
Shines
In its routine
Gracing
Its energy
And light
To everyone
Irrespective of
Diversity vast
Of caste, colour
Creed, region
And religion
The Moon
Pouring
Its sweetness
Time and again
Amusing
The stars at night
Showering
The clouds water
As per need
A life line-
Providing
The air
Oxygen to all
Big and small
And the Nature
Feeding
Everyone in its lap.
