Daughters are the angels of the house
Always father's pet and
The most valuable mother's treasures
Safeguarding their happiness is a bliss
Daughters are the rhythm and music
Non stop entertainment at home
They are the magical wands
With a divine glow and glitter
Their silence speaks volumes and
Their happiness reflects the family prosperity.
BUT
In the name of marriage....overnight
Daughters become daughters in law
From a darling angel to a dutiful
Responsible, sacrificing, compromising ROBOTS
Mothers in law always look at them
As a cutthroat competitors
They hound and keep always an eagle eye on them
From dawn to dusk, bully and point out all their errors
Daughters in law weep and cry
Sending non stop melancholic notes to their parents
Day and night fighting for their privacy and rights
This is the life long plight of
Indian daughters in law! ! !
