Plunge Delayed - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Plunge Delayed - Lincoln Park Zoo

The Lincoln Park Zoo did build me
A beautiful habitat with
A hot tub for this snow monkey.
So far, jump in has been a myth.
The humans heard that in Japan
Some snow monkeys do like to soak.
But so far here I have no plan
To take the plunge - could be a joke!
I do not mind coming close by.
The warm vapors do soothe my skin.
But when it is freezing cold, why
Would I contemplate jumping in?

Leaving the tub in weather foul,
I should have a robe and a towel.
