Poem No: 12. O My Dear Friend! Today You're Not With Us.

Rating: 5.0

O my dear friend! today you're not with us.
With joy we spent jointly so many years.
O my soulmate! how shall I forget thee?
You were the sign of truth and honesty.

Like two buds of rose we grew together.
I felt proud when you became a soldier.
I was restless to have your company.
Then in a sealed box you came to meet me.

Here except me all are merrymaking -
Dancing, singing, reciting and drinking
But only for you tears are rolling down.
If you're with me, I'd defeat everyone.

O my dear friend! now you are not with me.
You'll stay forever in my memory.

A profound ode to a soul mate. Then in a sealed box you came to meet me - very poignant. Even in death, your soul mate came to meet you through the vehicle of spirit.
