Poetic But Longest Definition Of Compassion Poem by Marie J. Christopher

Poetic But Longest Definition Of Compassion

I am willing and happy to spend the whole hour with you
Don't you believe at my offer? You're surprised?
Has anybody so kind ever passed by your walk of life?
Your wildness attracts me; your extreme poverty is an invitation for me to stay
I become you to cheer you up, to whiten you as snow
To drink to the last drop the chalice of your sorrow
Borrowing your painful memories, my understanding consumes it
Made pure by contact, which is direct, tender, and kind
Your will has become mine; and making you whole again, I now divinely incline
Combined into one, we share one dwelling, one home, one soul
I want, in your presence, to feel at home
Through your battered garden by storm of life, we tidy up and about we roam
Shall become my creation of goodness - you.
Your life, part of mine now, shall turn into dancing of thanksgiving
For all I have done for you and been received in loving
In evening, our prelude of silence, we become one
Our souls take a walk and talk in the flowery garden
My coming adds bliss; happiness is in hand with my presence
Confident, certainly you shall regain to feel
For I will never change, but remain constant in loving and being here with you, for you
Does the divine Love ever change or for love? God forever renews
Like morning dew, compassion is God-like, refreshing but constant
Like the most attentive, deepest look to the bottom of someone's heart
To bring a drowning soul to her surface, with a new start
Then her shivering core, you warm, cradle, and bundle up
To instill a new longing, devoted desire in her
To give her fresh outlook, new identity, her life you paint with more exquisite colors
With candor, both share all sentiment and thought secrets, most intimately
Com-pas-sion means to encompass another person
To be your other, your own.

(The Lord treats me with His boundless compassion for me to pass it on to others, in my journey called life.)
