Poetic Psychosis Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Poetic Psychosis

Rating: 5.0

Have you, like me, let your poems get to you
I never knew
That stringing words together can create a chimera
Something vivid like in camera
Living in your own world
Life stuck in words

Have you, like me, taken your poems to heart
From the start
Words causing a chemical imbalance in you
To the extent of altering your mood.
Reality blurring
Poetic voice slurring.

Like me, have you walked about and seen poetry everywhere
Every thoroughfare
Metaphors seeping through your soul
Your psychedelic neural flow
Like literal osmosis
Poetic psychosis
