Poetic Time Stretches Words Coarse Rough Silk Smooth Poem by Terence George Craddock

Poetic Time Stretches Words Coarse Rough Silk Smooth

time is the sand in the hourglass
sands of time falling must will fall
a poet must begin poetic journey
write poems beginning late or early

a poet at times will have something beautiful
significant to say but at the end of journey
a poet will realize poet has hardly started
said hardly anything at all long ago a poet made

a sacred vow to write words a few personalized words
words may endure words may vanish but poet wanted
to know what time would write before final curtain

closure poet already knowing like at the beginning
poet would need time poet would devote time in poetic
efforts to answer a poetic call poet had no choice at all
