When God was making Earth, He thought,
how wonderful that it could be;
if we could find the things we sought,
in His nature, naturally...
And so, He started then to make,
all sorts of awesome creatures;
on earth only for Heaven's sake,
with sweet, exquisite features!
Singing dolphins, flying fish,
bright neon purple butterflies;
Shooting stars to grant a wish,
A miracle in His kindly eyes...
Silver waterfalls that roared,
Into tumbling, living rivers;
All etched onto His drawing board,
A promise that God delivers...
And yet, God paused and pondered,
On His work that he could see,
On His earth He wandered,
and then God made...a tree...
He started with a little seed,
which soon began to grow;
according to His will and heed,
how only God will know!
Its branches reached for heaven's sky,
Flowers graced its verdant crown;
Bounteous fruit, for you and I,
Fragrant scents spread all around!
God smiled touched the fragrant wood;
He knew that it was very good!
