'Tis life so bitter, and so sweet.
Damn if you do, damned if you don't!
Because at the end of the day
we can always retreat to an island
of imagination's grand.
To dig my toes in deep,
into the metaphorical sands
and let my mind wash over me
with a wanderlust of words.

This is full of sound commonsense and wisdom dear Randy - - and love your idea of retreating into our imagination when things go awry- - poets everywhere will echo this advice.... washing our feet in metaphors etc brings another little gem to this verse.... - well written - - 10 + ++ Fay
