Why must we
when expressing a thought
hang onto traditional ways
why must we know
pentameters
or rhythm & rhyme
Can't poetry be
just an expression
just a sentiment
just an insight into our minds
why must we
follow strict rules
and guidelines
life is not perfect
why must our expressions
be absolute
can't they be
just like our lives
our loves
our hates
all combined
expressing everything
into one little poem
