Poetry To Perdition Poem by Martin Webb

Poetry To Perdition

Art was a medium,
A trance to enter
like a temple

Transmute the essence of Beauty
From the Gods to mere
mortals

Now modern man
has cheapened this gift,
broken sacred connections

Turning Beauty into prostitution

Marty, even if a poem is philosophical, it would benefit from vivid images. It usually is best to show instead of tell using abstractions. If you'd like, check out my new website: jeffersoncarterverse.com Tell me how you like it. Yrs, JC
